Christ Learning Hour - 10:30 a.m. in Fireside Room

We are working our way through the New Testament in this pastor-led Bible Study.  No question is too off-the-wall for this group.  Come and listen and learn - and feel free to ask questions! High schoolers are welcome.

Christ Learning Hour, Kids' Edition - 10:30 a.m. in Sunday School Roomhttps://unite-production.s3.amazonaws.com/tenants/trinitywhittier/pictures/88175/sunday_school.jpg

We use the Concordia Publishing House "Growing in Christ" curriculum which employs stories, songs, puppets, crafts, and stickers to teach little ones the faith.  All ages are welcome.  Older children are encouraged to help.

Monday Evenings

Past0r's Book Study (Great Works of the Christian Faith) - 6:30 p.m.in a member's home. Call church office for details.https://unite-production.s3.amazonaws.com/tenants/trinitywhittier/pictures/88170/bible_study2.jpg

Currently, we are enjoying a lively discussion surrounding Handling the Word of Truth by Rev. John T. Pless. Feel free to jump right in!

Handling the Word of Truth—Revised Edition takes C.F.W. Walther’s twenty-five theses on the proper distinction between Law and Gospel and offers a fresh exposition for modern Christians. The revised edition is updated to work in tandem with a new edition of Walther’s classic work, Law & Gospel: How to Read and Apply the Bible. Pless provides a solid introduction both to the theological framework of Law & Gospel and to the variety of life settings and issues that require God’s people to think about and act on their faith. The book serves as an entry point to access Walther’s text and helps believers to read, understand, and apply God’s Word to life’s many circumstances through reflection and discussion.

Thursday Mornings

Living Way Bible Study - 10:30 a.m. in Fireside Room

Living Way Bible Study is a practical course of study https://unite-production.s3.amazonaws.com/tenants/trinitywhittier/pictures/88172/bible_study.jpgwith a special emphasis on the application of God's Word to the life of the individual. While emphasizing practical application, LWBS presents each book of the Bible as the holy, inspired, Word of God, the confessional position of the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod.

Living Way Bible Study's purpose is to help equip believers to live joyfully in God's redeeming love and to share with others God's plan of salvation. Living Way is also a means to reach those interested in the Christian faith and who may not be members of a church.  With its emphasis on the Bible itself, it has an appeal to Christians as well as to others who are searching for the truth.
